Deposits and payments

Deposits paid to your own Stripe account

Once both parties have signed, the client is sent the deposit link and pays by card to your venue's own Stripe account. AirPlate AI takes no fee and never holds the money.

How it works

From the signature to the deposit

  1. 01

    Set your deposit rule

In Settings → Deposit & bank details: No deposit, or a percentage of the total including VAT. Each request form follows that default or has its own setting.

  2. 02

    Connect your Stripe account

Once your account is activated: Settings → Integrations → Stripe, pick the country your business is registered in, click Connect Stripe and complete Stripe's onboarding.

  3. 03

    Both parties sign

When the booking reaches New Event, the client is e-mailed the deposit link if your Stripe account can take payments, unless you have switched your automatic client e-mails off.

  4. 04

    Paid to your account

The client pays by card, the money goes to your Stripe account, and the booking moves to Deposit Received by itself.

  • No fee from AirPlate AI

The deposit goes to your venue's own Stripe account (Stripe Connect). AirPlate AI takes no fee and never holds the money.

  • When the link cannot go out

If your Stripe account cannot take payments, the booking's timeline says the link was not sent and shows the deposit due.

  • No deposit due, no link

A booking with no deposit due gets no deposit link.

  • Refunds in Stripe

AirPlate AI does not issue refunds: a card deposit is refunded in your own Stripe dashboard, and AirPlate AI records the refund on the booking.
